
Christos Dimas was born in Elefsis, Greece in 1969. He studied Political Science at the University of Athens and script-writing in Amsterdam (European Sources Course) and Helsinki. He has written and directed four short films: “A sky full of stars” (1995), “Tender” (1996), “Breath” (1998) and “American” (1999), all of which have been awarded in various film festivals around the world. From 1996 to 2000 he lived in San Francisco, where he worked in “Lukas Films” as an assistant director and also in Saul Zaents Studios as a production assistant. In 2000 he returned to Greece, where he worked for the Greek Television as writer/director for the TV-series “Red circle” (ALPHA Channel), for which he was nominated as the best screenwriter of the year.
He has also written three books and directed several theatrical plays. He has worked as an assistant and video director for the National Greek Theatre alongside the most renowned Greek directors.
